Former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission

Montek Singh Ahluwalia served as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India from July 2004 to May 2014. This position carried the rank of a Cabinet Minister. During his tenure, he supervised the preparation of both the Eleventh Plan (2007–2012) and the Twelfth Plan (2012–2017).
